I’m not a doctor, but I’ve spent the last year helping a couple of my best friends and their families with various issues, like their diabetes, chronic pain, and some of their mental health issues.
And I’m also the executive director of a nonprofit organization that works with people with disabilities, called The Disabled Veterans Memorial Foundation.
We’re the veterans’ organization that started in 2011, and we’re here to give back.
The nonprofit’s been around since 2007, and it’s now the largest organization in America that supports disabled veterans.
It’s also one of the largest charities for disabled people of color, as well.
The foundation is run by two former members of Congress, who came together as veterans’ advocates, and they’re now two of the founding members of The Disabled Veteran Foundation.
I’ve been with the foundation for about a year, and I can tell you that there’s really nothing that we can’t do to help people in need.
It starts with helping them navigate the system, and then it goes from there.
One of the things that we’ve learned about disability, particularly in this country, is that disability is a complicated issue.
It can be hard to separate the medical needs of people with a disability from the mental health needs of those who are in that category.
We see this in a lot of ways.
We can see it in the way that people with autism are treated by our medical system, the way people with diabetes are treated in our healthcare system, or the way our veterans are treated on our battlefields.
We’ve also been seeing this in our politics.
In the past few years, we’ve seen a lot more people with intellectual disabilities, such as people with epilepsy, get to represent their communities.
And we’ve also seen a big shift in disability policy.
It used to be that people had to come to Congress to change laws, to make them more equitable.
Today, the law is often more focused on protecting the people with the disability.
The disability disability community is very active on social media.
We are constantly looking for ways to help with this.
The Disabled American Veterans Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
That means that we have to disclose our donors.
We do not solicit contributions from individuals or corporations, and in addition to making it a requirement that we disclose our funders, the IRS has also required us to report to the IRS our contribution total for the last five years.
That’s how we can be sure that our donors are not trying to influence the work of the foundation.
But I also can tell people that we do not accept any outside donations, and that we are always looking for other ways to support veterans.
We donate a lot.
In fact, the first year we raised over $50,000, it was all volunteer efforts, and donations that we received from organizations like The Disabled Marine Foundation, The Disabled Women’s Foundation, and The Disabled Jewish Federation, for example.
We also have our own nonprofit that we’re trying to build, The Veterans Foundation of America, that’s focused on helping veterans find employment.
There are other nonprofits that we work with as well, like The Veterans Center of Excellence and the Veterans Education Fund.
And now we’re going to continue to do our part in the disability community, to help veterans and their children, as they continue to fight and to earn their livelihoods.
One thing that we know that there are a lot people in this world who can’t work, or who can only work part time, is our disabled veterans community.
And they’re a lot like our other veterans.
They’re often older and they have a lot less education.
They may be living in poverty, but they’re also often veterans who are looking to get back on their feet.
The biggest thing we can do to support them is to help them find jobs.
We have some really good programs that we run that are geared towards helping them find employment and help them get the training they need to continue getting a job, but it can be tough.
And the VA, like all employers, has some rules about where they can keep people who have worked in their supply chain.
And for many of these veterans, it’s impossible to find work in their fields.
So if you know of any employers who might want to hire you, or would be interested in hiring you, we’d love to hear from you.
But we also do outreach.
We run workshops and events where veterans can get a chance to get a job.
