Bill Gates, Bill Gates Foundation and the BBC to donate to food bank

Bill Gates and the Bill &Mart Foundation will be donating $1 billion to the Food Bank of Greater Toronto, a charity established in 2013.

The money will be used to establish the Canada Food Bank, an independent charity to deliver food assistance to low-income families, according to a news release from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

The foundation has also donated $1 million to help the FoodBank of Greater Vancouver, a nonprofit that provides food assistance and supports people struggling to survive on the streets.

In 2016, the foundation also donated more than $1.6 million to the Toronto-based food bank, which provides groceries, food for the homeless and cash assistance to families in need.

The Gates Foundation, which is also known as the Bill, Hillary and Chelsea Clinton Foundation, has been a supporter of food banks across the world.

Last year, the charity’s CEO Bill Gates said in a statement: “We are pleased to help bring about the largest food distribution network in the world.”

The Gates Family Foundation, a private, non-profit foundation, is dedicated to empowering people to achieve their full potential and improve the quality of life for everyone around the world, the statement said.

In the UK, the Bill Gates Health Foundation will donate £2 million to food banks.

Bill Gates and his foundation also have given $500 million to more than a dozen charities, including Oxfam, Oxfam UK and Oxfam International.
